I'm having trouble mapping the association between these 2 tables using JPA:

CREATE TABLE SEARCHKEY (
internalId int not null
keyType varchar(6) not null
keyId varchar(36) not null
...
PRIMARY KEY (keyId, keyType, internalId),
);
CREATE TABLE DECISION(
decisionId int not null
internalId int not null
decisionResult varchar(6) not null
...
PRIMARY KEY (decisionId),
);

Currently a searchKey can have multiple Decisions and a Decision can have several searchKeys, so I'm thinking of a ManyToMany association however I only need the SearchKey->Decision association.

I want to associate both entities using internalId as a foreign key but I'm currently having trouble since the internalId is part of the embeddedId in SearchKey.

How can I write these entities using JPA?

Thanks in advance!
