IE: remove onbeforeunload event when back button is pressed
.everyoneloves__top-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__mid-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__bot-mid-leaderboard:empty{ height:90px;width:728px;box-sizing:border-box;
}
As the title says, I'd like to remove 'beforeunload' listener when the back button is pressed on Internet Explorer. This is what I have done so far (it is an AngularJS application):
window.addEventListener('popstate', function (e) {
window.onbeforeunload = null;
e.preventDefault();
window.location.href = window.location.origin + window.location.pathname;
});
if ($rootScope.isIE) {
window.addEventListener('hashchange', function (e) {
window.onbeforeunload = null;
e.preventDefault();
window.location.href = window.location.origin + window.location.pathname;
});
}
It works flawlessly in other browsers, but I still get the confirmation message when the back button is pressed. Unfortunately, for how the application works, clicking "Stay on this page" breaks the application.
