History

In 2012, Saket Modi[7][8][9][10][11] a Computer Science engineer, founded Lucideus, [12][13][14][15] along with co-founders Vidit Baxi [16] and Rahul Tyagi[17][18]. They gathered together a team of security professionals and started the company with the objective of providing cyber security training.[19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26] In the beginning of 2013, Lucideus launched its range of Enterprise Cyber Security Services[27][28][29] and the company today works actively in both the areas.[30][31][32][33][34][35]

In 2017 after gaining experience in the market & understanding the need of an enterprise wide solution, Lucideus launched a Cyber Risk Assessment platform - SAFE[36]. SAFE (Security Assessment Framework for Enterprises) integrates with the existing technology stack of an enterprise to provide a real-time cyber risk assessment score (a number between 0-5) at a macro level across the organisation that can be broken down into micro-level scoring individually for each asset.[37][38]

UPI & BHIM

Lucideus was responsible for security assessment of the applications built by National Payments Corporation of India.[49]Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) [50]is a payment app that uses Unified Payments Interface (UPI) to let users you make simple, easy and quick transactions. Users can make direct bank payments to anyone on UPI using their UPI ID or scanning their QR with the help of this app. The user can also request money through the app from a UPI ID. It has been pioneered and developed by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), BHIM has been conceived and launched by the honorable Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. [51][52][53][54]

SAFE

SAFE (Security Assessment Framework for Enterprise),[55][56] dejargonizes Cyber Security by providing ‘one’ number or a standard that estimates the IT health of the on-ground IT assets within a company and correspondingly the organisation as a whole. It takes into account controls across People, Process and Technology. With this Lucideus aims to make cyber risk an informed business decision such that it will allow the security team to communicate to the non tech specialists (CXOs, Business Unit Leaders and Board) about the cyber security posture of the enterprise.[57][58]

SAFE integrates with the existing technology stack of an enterprise to provide a real-time cyber risk assessment score (a number between 0-5) at a macro level across the organisation that can be broken down into micro-level scoring individually for each asset. It backs this real-time number with cognitive learning & assessment and analysis of multiple vulnerabilities, configuration & policy controls. Basis this, SAFE gives one scorecard of assets at that time instant & gives recommendations and actionable insights to enhance the number. [59][60]
