Python celery access session variable in task: Working outside of request context

0

I need to access a session variable in a celery task session['g_start_date'] and session['g_end_date'].

Usually you would simply do:

start_date = datetime.strptime(session['g_start_date'], '%d-%m-%Y')
end_date = datetime.strptime(session['g_end_date'], '%d-%m-%Y')

But I get an error in the task:

RuntimeError: Working outside of request context.

How can I use the session variables inside the celery task?

    Add the data that you need in the delay method. Because the task run in async way and maybe you don't have the session anymore
