How to export a flutter widget that is not rendered yet to image

I read this tutorial on how to export a widget to an image with flutter. This teaches how to export a rendered widget to an image. However, what I like to do is to export a widget that is not rendered yet to an image, or modify that widget by adding a text to it then export it.
I would appreciate it if anyone could help me with this.
