Baseball at the 2018 Asian Games was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 21 August to 1 September 2018.[1] A total of ten teams, the most ever, competed in the competition at two competition venues in Jakarta: GBK Baseball Field and Rawamangun Baseball Field. The baseball teams of Laos, Sri Lanka and hosts Indonesia made their Asian Games baseball debut. The top six ranked teams, along with the hosts Indonesia (ranked eighth), advanced to the main draw. The bottom three teams competed, with the winner advancing to the main draw.[2]

The 3rd & 4th Place of Group A after Round 1 will play all vs all with the 3rd & 4th Place of Group B. Game results of Round 1 games between two teams will carry over to Consolation Round.[1]

Super round[edit]


The first 2 teams of a Group A after Round 1 will play all vs all with the first 2 teams of Group B, At the end of this round, the teams to play in Finals will be determined based upon the results of Round 1 between 2 qualified teams as well as the Super Round games. (1 game from Round 2 and 2 games of Super Round). Game results of First Round games between two qualified teams will carry over to Super Round.[1]


After Super Round, the top two teams will play for Gold medal, 3rd and 4th for Bronze medal.[1]
