greenDao migrate Date column to LocalDate properly
In my project i have used Date column, now i am gonna change the Date column to LocalDate. i see now unknown values on my databse, for example: start_date column value startDate=+50841-01-25, it was 14.11.2018 date value. Greendao is not supporting LocalDate, so that i created converter file.
public class LocalDateConverter implements PropertyConverter<LocalDate, Long> {
@Override
public LocalDate convertToEntityProperty(Long databaseValue) {
LocalDate date =
Instant.ofEpochSecond(databaseValue).atZone(ZoneId.systemDefault()).toLocalDate();
return date;
}
@Override
public Long convertToDatabaseValue(LocalDate entityProperty) {
return entityProperty.atStartOfDay(ZoneId.systemDefault()).toEpochSecond();
}
}
What should i do in this situation? 1. Create migration and convert date value to LocalDate value or is there any best solution? Thanks in advance!
