Is it possible to record Qualtrics survey answers into an Android Studio project?

0

I am working on a project currently that will have users take a 7 question survey, then afterwards use their answers to select compatible products from a product list that we have. I need to do this using the mobile SDK, since the Qualtrics platform itself doesn't really allow for output functionality like this.

My first approach was to make a survey app from scratch. This was easy, as I could simply create pages as I need, save the responses locally, then use that to index search our product list. However, this solution is not optimal because our app needs to be secure, as well as HIPPA certified. Creating this from scratch would be incredibly expensive and time consuming.

I have combed through the API and what I've found is this: it is possible to create an app in Android Studio that, on launch, will allow users to take a survey that we built using Qualtrics. This is optimal, as I can quickly create the survey on Qualtrics's site, then make an app in Android Studio that will connect to this survey and display it.

The problem is this: our entire project is contingent on the ability to take the answers that the user entered in the survey, and store them in the Android Studio project itself so that they can be used elsewhere (preferably storing them in an ArrayList). If anyone has experience with the Qualtrics Mobile SDK, is this possible? So far it seems that the farthest we can get is allowing the user to take the survey, and record their answers into our Qualtrics database for analytical purposes. However, I cannot find a way to record the answers as they are being entered.
