Session passed to another file using zeep and flask
I have a problem with passing a session from one of my flask pages to another.
Starting with auth.py I have a following code:
@bp.route('/login', methods=('GET','POST'))
def login():
if request.method == 'POST':
username = request.form['username']
password = request.form['password']
soap_client = SOAPClient()
error = None
try:
client_session = soap_client.client.service.login(username, password, 3600)
except zeep.exceptions.Fault as login_error:
error = str(login_error)
if error is None:
session.clear()
session['user_name'] = username
session['client_session'] = client_session
return redirect(url_for('index'))
flash(error)
return render_template('auth/login.html')
Which, to my understanding should store the information that the user has logged in session['client_session'] variable.
Next I would like to print some data to the user if he is logged, so I wrote something like this in index.py:
@bp.route('/', methods=('GET','POST'))
def index():
if session:
soap_client = SOAPClient()
reseller_details = soap_client.client.service.getClients()
return render_template('index.html', reseller_details=reseller_details)
By now it is irrelevant that I pass an empty list as parameters, that works for this method. What I get instead of those details is an zeep.exceptions.Fault error which says:
zeep.exceptions.Fault: Authorization required!
My SOAPClient is implemented as follows:
class SOAPClient:
def __init__(self):
session = Session()
session.verify = False
transport = Transport(session=session)
settings = Settings(strict=True, xml_huge_tree=True)
self.client = Client(MY_SERVER_ADDRESS, settings = settings,
transport = transport )
In scope of /login everything works fine so I guess it has something to do with passing either soap_client or client_session variable around the flask app. Passing soap_client raises a TypeError, though:
TypeError: <flaskr.SOAPClient.SOAPClient object at 0x7f8bef5be828> is not JSON serializable
Could anyone point me what I am missing here?
Many thanks in advance.
