Make parent have the same size as the child

0

I need to make a scroll view with a grid layout containing hundreds of elements, I am using a Grid Layout and a Content Size Fitter, I also need to add at the top of the grid another UI element that it shouldn't be affected by the grid layout.

I tried to make it like this. In the scroll view's content area to add another empty game object with Grid Layout and the Content Size Fitter, above this game object to add the other ui element, and to automatically resize the Content from the Scroll View I added another Content Size Fitter but it doesn't work the Content size does not change. Only the game object with the grid layout so I can't scroll to far.

I hope this image helps you understand what I mean
