Amazon StoryWriter is a free cloud-based screenwriting app[1] launched by Amazon in 2015.[2] Storywriter provides automatic formatting for screenplays on the Master Scene Standard.[citation needed] The app allows easy submission of original screenplays for production consideration in Amazon Studios.[citation needed]

In April 2018, Amazon Studios announced they will no longer accept open submissions of screenplays. Amazon Storywriter will remain open.[citation needed]

Reception[edit]

The product is understood to have ease of use and a gentle learning curve, but is not a replacement for a product such as Final Draft to which it has import and export facilities.[3]
