BigQuery - number of contributors per project
I'm looking to get some data for my master's thesis on the economic analysis of open source from BigQuery.
I'm hoping to obtain a dataset on Github Archive for the number of contributors (if possible, unique contributors) to each of the top 1000 (or perhaps top 1 million) projects. In doing so, I want to see if there is a scalable limit to the size of open source communities, sort of like a Dunbar's number, though, perhaps not.
What should I write into the query editor to find this dataset, if it is available? Thanks for any assistance or direction.
