Sur ce quatrième album solo enregistré en une semaine, la chanteuse soul-pop montréalaise Julie Crochetière présente des morceaux épurés d’où sa voix ressort avec d’autant plus de force. Les arrangements de cuivres, pensés en collaboration avec le Quatuor Orphée et Robin Smith, opèrent avec brio pour donner du tranchant à sa chaude voix qui alterne, ni vu ni connu, du français à l’anglais. Malgré parfois un manque de cohésion et un lyrisme exagéré, le tout reste accessible et nous surprend au détour avec des tournures presque sixties.
