Mount Shared Folder In Linux Guest VMWare Player Automatically
I'm trying to mount a shared folder in a Linux guest in vmware player. If I put this line in the /etc/fstab file the Ubuntu Linux guest will not boot:
.host:/ /home/tdunphy/Desktop/ vmhgfs defaults 0 0
I have to boot into emergency mode and take that line out of fstab in order to boot the linux host normally.
If I run a mount check with mount -fav I get this back:
This command is intended to be run from within /bin/mount by
passing the option '-t vmhgfs'. For example:
mount -t vmhgfs .host:/ /mnt/hgfs/
mount -t vmhgfs .host:/foo /mnt/foo
mount -t vmhgfs .host:/foo/bar /var/lib/bar
How can I mount shared folders automatically on the linux guest in vmware player?
