DNS: Map x.apps.domain.example to x.otherdomain.example

I have a domain that I would like to redirect traffic, but still have the user remain on the site. It this called a proxy perhaps?
So going to x.apps.domain.tld would show x.otherdomain.tld content, but you would still be on x.apps.domain.tld.
Is this even possible?
