Java unauthenticated session and static pages

0

We have a legacy application based on home grown j2ee framework. We follow the concept of authenticated session where we generate a session for authenticated user and generate pages if only if the user is authenticated. One could say we have developed form based authentication without using JEE security constraint.

I have a question on what we would do to generate a page without using any authenticated session. Assuming the pages are still dynamic and we would need a database behind the scenes to get the content. We have a requirement like password reset page, dual factor authentication page which is a bunch of static pages which still require some dynamic content from database but there is no authenticated session. What would be the standard if we have to use Spring , Ruby on Rails etc.
