Python RPA Script - getting name of selected object
I am using the keyboard and mouse packages to select a window in a third party application which accepts data entry. I would like to handle the exception of the application not accepting the selection of a text box or form so the script doesn't go rogue when something goes wrong.
See in all caps portion, is there a package or method that can handle this?
example:
Keyboard.press_and_release('tab')
time.sleep(1.5)
#edit trip
keyboard.press_and_release('alt+e')
time.sleep(.25)
keyboard.press_and_release('alt+3')
#click tab 3
time.sleep(.5)
#tab to the auth window
keyboard.press_and_release('tab')
time.sleep(.2)
keyboard.press_and_release('tab')
time.sleep(.2)
keyboard.press_and_release('tab')
RIGHT HERE I WOULD LIKE TO VERIFY THAT THE TEXT BOX IS ACTIVE WITHIN THE APP
SOMETHING LIKE Window.getactiveobject() or get highlighted area?

#delete any misc numbers in the auth text
keyboard.press_and_release('delete')
keyboard.write(current_Auth)
