Kinect Application Build Failed

0

I've started working on a project. I've wanted to make something simple with kinect but I can't even make first build. I've written simple code and when I tried to build it, it failed and I got this

Type universe cannot resolve assembly: System.Runtime, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a

The referenced component 'WindowsPreview.Kinect' could not be found

The SDK "WindowsPreview.Kinect, Version=2.0" depends on the following SDK(s) "Microsoft.VCLibs, version=12.0", which have not been added to the project or were not found. Please ensure that you add these dependencies to your project or you may experience runtime issues. You can add dependencies to your project through the Reference Manager

I added the reference WindowsPreview.Kinect beforehand so I don't know exactly the problem is.

  • Hey Henrich, welcome to SO! I don't know Kinect development, but if you're new to programming, you maybe should start with something more simple. To address the error you see: Microsoft.VCLibs, version=12.0 is missing as a reference. WindowsPreview.Kinect needs it to function properly.
