Install a Swift framework on Linux
Is it possible to import a compiled framework located on the system from Swift in Linux? For example, in macOS, we can import frameworks inside /System/Library/Frameworks
, but, on Linux, I can only use the Swift Package Manager to add dependencies. My idea is to make a Linux distribution with preinstalled Swift frameworks that developers can just import them.
I could use dlopen
but references to the library in build time will fail.

There is no easy or supported way that I'm aware of to do this at the moment. The SwiftPM doesn't currently have a way to install products. You will likely need to look at how Foundation gets linked in the system and get your precompiled frameworks to behave in that way.
