Creating a standard Outlook signature with embedded images where the image can be set remotely

0

I've setup a web app that our staff use to create a corporate standard signature, within that signature are a number of hosted images. We've since discovered that some Outlook users can't see the images because Outlook initially blocks them, then converts them into CID embeds that give an error.

I'm now looking at setting up the standard signature so that they are CID embeds from the beginning, the issue I have is that the image files need to come from an external URL and be added every time the email is created as they are marketing images that change (and we have 10,000+ users so can't ask everyone to change their signature everytime it changes).

The current application creates an htm file for the user to copy to their signature folder, is this even possible to do using this method?

edit: I can't link to the signature app as it's hosted internally.
