how to build conversational skill using alexa SDK for java v2?

0

I am trying to build conversational skill model using Alexa SDK for Java V2 but the skill does not work as intended.

It would ask for a response but it won't execute the skill with the response that the user has provided

Note: Please post your responses using V2 of the Java SDK.

I am using ask-sdk standard dependency in my project:

<!-- Alexa -Including all standard SDK components -->
<dependency>
<groupId>com.amazon.alexa</groupId>
<artifactId>ask-sdk</artifactId>
<version>2.9.0</version>
</dependency>

Sample code for building response below:

ResponseBuilder responseBuilder = input.getResponseBuilder();
repromptText="For which month?";

responseBuilder.withSimpleCard("Some Card name", speechText)
.withReprompt(repromptText)
.withShouldEndSession(false);
